Red-light therapy was originally discovered in a NASA experiment to grow plants in space, but quickly they found that it had healing benefits for humans. It has also been shown to reduce symptoms in cancer patients, and low testosterone. Red-light increases mitochondria in cells, suppresses inflammation, improves skin conditions, collagen production, and promotes hair growth
Red-light boosts mitochondria production in cells, and produces more ATP (adenosine triphosphate). ATP is the "molecular unit of currency" helping the body to function more efficiently. Humans need light to thrive, especially being inside with artificial lighting, and blue light from electronics.
